Ascend

Online

A level system that counts across servers: one profile, one level, one worldwide leaderboard. No setup, no dashboard, identical rules everywhere.

About this bot

One level. Everywhere.

Most level bots count per server. Active on five servers means starting over five times — and level 40 means something different on each of them.

Ascend counts per person. One profile, one level, one worldwide leaderboard. Your XP is the same wherever you happen to be writing.

For that to stay comparable, every game value is identical on every server and cannot be configured. No server can give itself an advantage.

Earning XP

  • Message — 15–25 XP, at most once every 60 seconds
  • Voice channel — 5–10 XP per minute, once two people are unmuted
  • Reaction given — 1 XP, max 20 per hour
  • Reaction received — 2 XP, max 50 per day
  • First message of the day — 50 XP on top

The cooldown is global, not per server. Writing on five servers at once earns exactly as much as writing on one. That it doesn't is the whole point.

Multipliers

  • Streak — +5 % per day of unbroken activity, up to +50 %
  • Server booster — +25 %
  • Vote — +25 % for 12 hours
  • Weekend — +50 % (Sat/Sun, UTC)
  • Prestige — +2 % per tier

The factors multiply, but the result is capped at ×3.0. Without a cap, stacked bonuses would be the fastest way to make a leaderboard meaningless.

Why the leaderboard is worth something

A worldwide ranking is only worth as much as its defences. So:

  • Message quality. Word-for-word repeats, character mush like aaaaaa, and messages that are nothing but emoji or links earn less or nothing.
  • Daily caps. At most 3,000 XP per server and 8,000 XP in total per day.
  • Server check. A server only counts globally from 25 real members, 5 distinct people active in a day, and an age of 7 days.
  • Account check. Accounts younger than 7 days collect locally first.
  • Alt detection. Suspicious patterns are flagged and reviewed by hand — nothing is banned automatically.

Small servers still collect

If a server doesn't meet the conditions yet, nothing is lost: XP is collected locally and /rank shows your server standing with a real level.

Once the server is large enough, /rank asks once whether your global count should begin. It starts at zero — what was earned on an unverified server cannot be carried into the world ranking. Your server progress stays exactly as it is. Declined it? /global join whenever you like.

Rank cards and badges

Eight templates, your own accent colour, your own background image — in an editor with a genuine live preview, not a mock-up. Plus 20 badges, from a week-long streak to first place worldwide.

Seasons and prestige

A season lasts 90 days. When it ends the season leaderboard is frozen while the all-time ranking is left untouched — what you earned does not expire.

From level 100 prestige becomes available: level and XP start over, and what stays is a prestige tier plus +2 % XP per tier. Five tiers at most. The maximum level is 200, which is 14,248,500 XP.

Commands

For everyone: /rank · /rankcard · /leaderboard · /badges · /streak · /activity · /season · /prestige · /limits · /global · /serverinfo · /help · /invite · /vote

Privacy: /optout · /optin · /privacy

For staff: /setup · /rewards

For server owners

Invite it and you're done. There is no dashboard and no configuration of game values — that is exactly what makes the global ranking comparable.

Only two things are adjustable, and neither touches XP: the announcement channel for level-ups (or off), and a list of ignored channels. Plus role rewards via /rewards.

Level-up messages delete themselves after 30 seconds. An active server would otherwise be buried in congratulations within a day.

What is stored

No message content. To detect spam, a message becomes a salted hash that expires after 10 minutes — the text cannot be recovered from it. The data model has no field for message text.

What is stored are numbers: XP, levels, counters, daily totals. /privacy export hands you everything, /privacy delete erases it after a 24-hour grace period. /optout stops all scoring immediately.
