Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone using Topbot.gg. Additional rules for submitting a bot are in the second part. The German version is the legally binding one.

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Scope

Using Topbot.gg is free of charge. A contract is formed when you sign in through Discord and ends when you delete your account. There are currently no paid services; should featured placements later carry a price, separate terms including a right of withdrawal will apply.

Use requires a Discord account. Discord’s own terms apply as well, including the minimum age.

Rules for everyone

No unlawful content, no insults, no advertising outside the places meant for it.

Votes must not be bought, traded or automated. Alt accounts for voting are not allowed.

Reviews must be based on your own experience. Reviewing your own bot is not allowed.

Rules for listings

Whoever submits a bot must own the application or belong to its team. Ownership is proven through Discord.

The description must match what the bot actually does, and requested permissions must be proportionate.

The bot must be reachable and must not serve advertising or ask for credentials.

Review and removal

Every listing is reviewed by hand before publication. There is no entitlement to be listed.

A listing may be removed or hidden if it breaches these terms, is permanently unreachable, no longer matches its description, or if a substantiated report leads to that conclusion.

We inform the submitter and give a reason where legally permitted. The reporting procedure describes how to object.

Rights in submitted content

You keep the rights to your texts and images. Submitting grants us a simple, territorially unrestricted right to display them in the directory, in previews and in search engines.

That right ends when the listing is removed. Previews already generated and search engine caches may persist beyond that, which is outside our control.

Liability

Topbot.gg is offered free of charge. We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to the breach of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract.

Developers are responsible for the content of their listings and for how their bots behave on your server. We review every listing before publication, which is not a warranty.

Changes

We announce changes at least four weeks in advance, in the support server and by email to anyone with a listing. If you disagree, you can delete your account before they take effect.
